Finding Clients for Your Fashion Start Up

Are you a fashion start up OR have you been bitten by the creative bug and are doing some research? One of the first things that you will want to do is to identify your client or draft a client profile. Who will love your product?  Where does she hang out online? How does she spend her day? Does she have kids? Does she cook? Where does she vacation? What kind of car is she likely to drive? What books does she read? Does she have a tattoo or does she play tennis at the country club? What keeps her up at night? ETC... Information is POWERFUL! The more information that you have about her/him, the better you will be able to "speak their language". When you are able to ID your client, you will be able to provide her/him the content they will respond to. If you can provide meaningful content over time, you will be able to earn their trust and become their advisor so to speak. Why is this important? Because consumers buy from experts. You will want to produce this material in small doses but consistently. You see, it could be compared to maintaining a plant. A few minutes a day you need to water it and move it around from sun to shade or cover it in cold weather. You get the point.
